President:
J. Steven Teal, Pharm.D., M.B.A., FASCP, CGP is an independent consultant pharmacist in Winter Garden, Florida. He has been a consultant pharmacist for 30 years, specializing in ambulatory surgery center pharmacy. He has been a CGP for 10 years and a member of ASCP for over 20 years. In his spare time, Steve enjoys riding motorcycles and restoring Model A Fords. He and his wife Shirley have 5 children and 11 grandchildren.
President-elect:
Dana Saffel, PharmD, CGP, FASCP is a clinical pharmacist with a geriatric specialty. She has been a member of ASCP for over 20 years and has served on numberous national and state organizations, councils and task forces that focus on improving the lives of the elderly in nursing facilities and assisted living facilities. She remains involved with efforts to shape the practice of consultant pharmacy as opportunities to broaden the scope of practice occur. Dana has served as president of the Georgia Academy of Consultant Pharmacists for 4 years and on the board of directors of the Georgia Pharmacy Association for 6 years prior to moving to the panhandle of Florida in 2005. Dana has had over 30 years of experience practicing in the long-term care environment with involvement in both operations and consulting and has experience with small in-house pharmacies and large regional corporate pharmacies. Dana is passionate about long-term care pharmacy, but also finds time to enjoy the beautiful beaches of Florida’s panhandle. She and her husband, Tom, are avid stand-up paddle-boarders and also enjoy golf and travel.
Secretary/Treasurer:
Wendy Ethridge, Pharm.D., graduated from Nova Southeastern University College of Pharmacy in 2000 with a PharmD. She worked at multiple Publix Pharmacy locations as Pharmacy Manager and took the class to get her Consultant Pharmacist license in 2003. In 2003, she began working as a CPh with NeighborCare and subsequently for OmniCare, KPS , PharMerica and Millenium. She has been attending ASCP meetings since 2004 and find the information and networking opportunities provided by ASCP to be invaluable.
Board Chairman:
Janet L. Dallman, RPh., FASCP, CGP is a consultant pharmacist working on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Janet has been a pharmacist for 33 years, specializing in Medication Therapy Management for seniors living in the community as well as nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Janet was in the first group of pharmacists to receive the CGP. Janet has served ASCP on several councils and committees. Currently, Janet is the President of the FL-ASCP chapter and also is one of the Region 4 directors for ASCP. Janet, in her spare time enjoys traveling, golf, swimming, and reading. Janet and her husband Glen enjoy their 3 granddaughters living in Illinois and their grandson living in Florida.
